*For accounts with a minimum balance requirement, no minimum balance fee will be charged unless the balance falls below the required minimum balance on any day of the statement cycle. Classic Checking minimum account balance requirements are waived for customers 65 years of age or older. Checking fees are subject to Iowa state sales tax.

**SSB Select Checking accounts include free cashier's checks and money orders.
***Only one Rewards Checking account allowed per primary account holder.

Overdraft Privilege Services Available

The following information applies to all interest-bearing checking accounts and savings accounts:

  • Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change at any time at our discretion. Click to see current interest rates or call (515) 457-9533 or (641) 758-2989.
  • Interest compounds and credits quarterly for Classic Savings accounts, and monthly for all other accounts.
  • Interest is calculated by the daily balance method, which applies a periodic rate to the balance in the account each day.
  • Interest begins to accrue on the first business day after the banking day you deposit non-cash items (i.e. checks).
  • Fees may reduce earnings.
